HiFi-Tuning Diamond-Supreme³ Sicherungshalter

The Supreme³ fuseholder from HiFi-Tuning is considered the sonic benchmark when it comes to getting the current from the fuse box to the system in the best possible way. In terms of pure materials, the approach of using pure copper conductors that are silver-plated, copper-plated again and then gold-plated before the whole construction is frozen in a nitrogen bath is probably exhausted. However, there is another approach, often described as esoteric, but undisputed among materials scientists: crystals affect metallic conductors in their immediate vicinity.

This is exactly the approach that Bernd Ahne of HiFi-Tuning follows with his own consistency. While others are studying the effect of quartz crystals or tourmaline on sound, he has ordered various high-purity natural diamonds and experimented with their sonic effects in the immediate vicinity of his fuses. His conclusion is clear: a real high-purity diamond within a few millimetres of the metal caps of his fuse means a more powerful, open sound with an audible increase in dynamics.

The diamond has a brilliant cut and a diameter of 3 millimetres. It is mounted on the fuse holder in such a way that it is very close to the fuse without making electrical contact. The non-symmetrical attachment to the front is therefore intentional and not a lack of craftsmanship. Experimenting with larger diamonds made a visual difference, but did not improve the sound compared to the chosen type.

The owner probably can't be bothered to show off the bling in the fuse box. But it will probably make listening more enjoyable.

The fuse holder accepts Supreme³ 10.3 x 38mm fuses up to 32 Amps. It is recommended that you use a dry cloth to remove any finger grease from their caps before inserting them. For domestic use, 16A fuses are normally used.
